Adaptors and Component Engineering – began operations in 1987 manufacturing specialised components for the Hydraulics industry, under the ownership and management of Barry Thomas.
In 1990, the company commenced manufacturing and marketing products under the A.C.E. Gate Hardware brand to satisfy the demand for quality rural gate hinging and fencing components in regional Queensland. Over the years, the company has grown in both size and stature and is now led by Mark Thomas and his experienced team, supplying our products to every state in Australia.

Located in north Brisbane – our Office, Manufacturing and Plating Plant is at the one convenient site in Virginia. We are committed to the Australian manufacture of robust, quality products that work in Australia’s harsh outdoor conditions. Our Electro-Zinc surface finish on all our standard products is applied in-house, ensuring that our product quality meets our stringent requirements.
Besides our standard product range, we also offer complete one stop manufacturing solutions for our diverse customer base. We specialise in CNC machining, metal fabrication, custom fasteners, Zinc Plating and can assist you with new product design. We have the capacity to undertake work in a wide range of materials including mild and high tensile steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium through to various plastics.
Our modern Barrel Zinc Plating line, specialises in electroplating Blue (silver) Zinc finishes and can save you time, money and headaches by having your components manufactured and plated in-house.
